Ingredients

4 large tablespoons of teff (i.e. an African grass seed, like flax)
8 large tablespoons oatmeal,
½ liter soy milk,
3 tablespoons agave syrup,
8 blackberries,
1 banana,
hand full of blueberries
2 tsp cinnamon

Preparation

  1. Bring the soy milk, in a saucepan, to a boil. Add the oatmeal and teff, let it simmer for about 5 minutes while stirring until the desired thickness. 
  2. Peel and slice the banana and toss it well in the cinnamon powder. 
  3. Finally, stir the agave syrup into the porridge. Transfer the porridge to 2 bowls and cover with the slices of banana, blackberries and blueberries. 

Tip 1: Teff is a gluten-free nutritious ancient grain that has been cultivated for centuries in the "Horn of Africa". Teff is available at specialty health food stores. 

Tip 2: You can also use fresh agave instead of agave syrup, which you can buy at some health food stores.
